Every Year at this time, RYPEN is run for school students who have shown a willingness to expand their life experiences and make new friends.

This year was no different

RYPEN is a residential weekend long program delivering leadership training for 14 - 16 years olds. Over the course of the program we focus on building Resilience, Communication, Teamwork, Responsibility of Self, Habit Formation, Community Advocacy, Trust and Mindfulness Skills

RYPEN is an incredibly valuable and unique experience for the participants which allows them to engage with like-minded people, discover their values and grow their communication and leadership skills, all whilst having fun!

So when two very enthusiastic students from Kingaroy High applied, we didn’t hesitate to provide assistance to both of them.
Fellow club member and teacher Carmel McKeering gave us a glowing report on these two young achievers. Carmel was overjoyed that we had decided to sponsor both these young ladies and knew that both would report back to the club with much enthusiasm
.
Carmel wasn’t wrong! At a recent supper meeting, both girls regaled us with stories of new friendships made, lessons learnt, and boundaries pushed and most importantly, they told us of the fun that had been the RYPEN experience

Hopefully these experiences will be long remembered as they move on into the future.
And we will do it all again next year.
